229 posts · Joined 2005. #1 · Dec 11, 2014. The nearside front ABS sensor plug on my mondeo is damaged (latch worn and internal rubber seal missing) so I would like to replace the cable. I removed the plastic wheel arch liner to look and the cable is taped together with the indicator wiring then goes through a hole into the engine compartment.
The sensor plate is back on and located into the keyway, same with the crank pully. Did not remove the crank sensor to do the work and done nothing with the fuel system. Have refitted belt, tentioned and turned over by hand and all seems fine. Turned over engine but nothing. Belt turns but car will not fire.
